In line with its focus on applied education and the development of competencies capable of meeting market demands, third-level Mechatronics Engineering students at Ar-Rasheed Smart University conducted a field visit to the BioPharm Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Factory on Wednesday morning, December 17, 2025. This inspiring educational experience combined academic knowledge with advanced industrial applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit was supervised by the academic advisor of the department, Engineer Mohammed Al-Mudwahi, faculty member Dr. Tarek Al-Hababi, and laboratory supervisor Engineer Suhail Al-Mo'lemi, as part of the department's plan to enhance students' practical skills and connect learning outcomes with real work environments in vital industrial sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit aimed to enable students to gain firsthand insight into the modern pharmaceutical industry environment, understand automated production mechanisms, and learn about the role of mechatronics engineering in improving manufacturing efficiency and ensuring drug quality and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, students explored various pharmaceutical production lines at the factory, including:
Ampoules Line\nSyrups & Liquids Line\nTablets Line\nPackaging & Labeling Systems\nAutomation & Quality Control Systems
They also learned about the practical applications of mechatronics systems, industrial control, sensors, motors, and PLC systems, all of which play a pivotal role in modern pharmaceutical industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Engineer Mohammed Al-Mudhwahi stated that this visit is \"part of the department's strategy to enhance practice-based education, linking theoretical knowledge with practical application, and preparing qualified students who possess a genuine understanding of technologies used in biopharmaceutical industries.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In turn, students expressed their great satisfaction with the visit, noting that it significantly enriched their academic journey, broadening their professional horizons and inspiring them to innovate and create, as well as aiding them in envisioning their future paths in the industrial job market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the conclusion of the visit, the Mechatronics Engineering Department, along with the supervising team and students, extended their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Mr. Nabil Al-Mutami, Dr. Midein Al-Mutami, and all engineers and technicians at BioPharm for their warm hospitality, fruitful cooperation, and for providing the opportunity to observe an advanced industrial model that reflects standards of quality and professionalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
