Development and Quality Assurance Center at Ar-Rasheed Smart University organized a scientific seminar titled: "The Role of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Improving the Quality of Higher Education"

 Under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Scientific Research and under the slogan: "Quality of Higher Education (an urgent necessity and a shared responsibility)", Development and Quality Assurance Center at the university organized on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, a scientific seminar titled: "The Role of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Improving the Quality of Higher Education", in the university campus.

During the opening of the practical seminar, which was attended by the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Abdullah Al-Wazir, Prof. Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Shu'aibi, Vice-President of the Academic Accreditation Council, Dean of faculties, heads of departments, Secretary-General of the University, and a number of academic staff, stakeholders and students from inside and outside the university, the rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdulatif Haider, expressed his happiness in implementing such scientific seminars, and stressed the importance of artificial intelligence in mastering work.

In his welcoming speech, he affirmed that Ar-Rasheed University is taking firm steps in this regard and does not hesitate to keep pace with any development in improving learning outcomes and caring for university students.

For his part, the Dean of the Development and Quality Assurance Center welcomed all the guests and attendees, stressing that this seminar is being implemented due to its importance, and that it has become imperative for educational institutions to qualify their staff and students to keep pace with the rapid developments in artificial intelligence applications, calling for the establishment and dissemination of a culture of adaptation to artificial intelligence applications to benefit from them in acquiring knowledge and skills.

The Dean of the Center expressed his great gratitude to all the guests and participants in the seminar for their interest, interaction and attendance, and also thanked the working team in the Center, the marketing, media, services and finance teams for their efforts in organizing and making the event a success

In turn, Prof. Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Shu'aibi, Vice-President of the Academic Accreditation Council, expressed his great thanks to the university leadership headed by Prof. Dr. Abdullatif Haider for addressing the topic of artificial intelligence, which he considered of great importance, as it has begun to perhaps control all aspects of our lives.

Four scientific papers were presented at the seminar, where the first paper was presented by the Dean of the Development and Quality Assurance Center, Prof. Dr. Abdulhameed AShuja', titled: "The Role of the University Staff and Students in the Quality of Education and Learning in the Light of the AI Revolution", the second paper presented by Dr. Wadee' Abdulhafiz Al-Qubati, which addressed artificial intelligence and improvement, the third paper presented by Dr. Anwar Al-Dhari, which addressed artificial intelligence, quality assurance and evaluation, and the fourth paper presented by Ms. Sara Baarba', a lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory at the university, which addressed the use of generative artificial intelligence in scientific research.

The event included a visit by guests and visitors from outside the university to the new university building, which includes dental clinics, laboratories, classrooms and part of the administrative offices, as well as the presentation of documentary videos about the university and the activities of the Development and Quality Assurance Center.
