Minister of Education Visits Ar-Rasheed Smart University to Inspect the Educational Process
On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, Ar-Rasheed Smart University welcomed His Excellency the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Professor Hassan Al-Sa'di, and the Undersecretary of the Higher Education Sector, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, during an inspection visit aimed at reviewing the progress of the educational process at the university.
وكان The Minister and the Undersecretary were received by Mr. Faisal Al-Zubairi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Wazir, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, the rector of the University, along with several faculty deans, heads of academic departments, the university secretary-general, and the secretary-general of the University Student Forum.
The visit included a field tour of various university facilities, where the Minister and the Undersecretary inspected lecture halls, modern laboratories in the medical, engineering, and administrative faculty, as well as dental clinics. They reviewed the state-of-the-art facilities supporting the educational and training processes.
The Minister and the Undersecretary were also briefed on a presentation delivered by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the rector of the University, outlining the strategic goals the university aspires to achieve. These goals focus on developing high-quality academic programs aligned with global advancements, aiming to reduce the knowledge and technology gap. Efforts to enhance educational infrastructure and the university's role in community service through consultancy and training programs supporting various development fields were also highlighted.
Additionally, the Minister and the Undersecretary visited the under-construction Ar-Rasheed University Hospital building, designed to meet the highest approved standards and medical requirements. Spanning an area of 3,000 square meters, the hospital consists of six floors housing various facilities and extensions, with a capacity of 136 beds. The project aims to provide an integrated medical environment supporting medical education and training while enhancing community health services.
During the visit, His Excellency the Minister of Education and Scientific Research expressed his admiration for the advanced level of facilities and infrastructure at the university. He commended the efforts made to provide a comprehensive educational environment that meets students' needs and strengthens the preparation of academic and professional cadres in line with labor market demands. He also emphasized the importance of investing in higher education and scientific research to drive development and achieve academic excellence.
The Minister pointed out that such visits significantly contribute to strengthening collaboration between the ministry and educational institutions, supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals in the education sector and improving the quality of educational and research processes to meet future labor market and comprehensive development requirements. He also extended his best wishes for further excellence and success to Al-Rasheed Smart University in its academic journey.
For their part, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the rector of the University expressed their gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Education and Scientific Research for the visit. They affirmed the university's commitment to continuously enhancing and refining the educational process and its dedication to providing all the necessary resources and tools to enable students to achieve success and distinction in their academic journey, contributing to the graduation of qualified cadres capable of competing in the labor market.
