A qualitative research study on artificial intelligence and digital commerce: International Business students at Al-Rasheed Smart University present a scientific vision for a safer and more transformative future.
In an academic setting that reflects innovation and a forward-looking approach to the digital future, Faculty of Finance and Business—International Business Administration (English) Department at Ar-Rasheed Smart University discussed today unique graduation research titled:
“دور “The Role of Artificial Intelligence as a Mediating Variable in Enhancing Digital Commerce through Cybersecurity Improvement,” as part of the graduation requirements for the academic year 1446 (2024–2025).
The research, conducted by students Aliya Al-Mubannen, Nora Al-Dawla, Ghadeer Amer, Maram Al-Tairi, and Maria Al-Hajj, provided an in-depth scientific analysis of how artificial intelligence can contribute to building a more secure and efficient digital trade environment by acting as a mediating factor that enhances the effectiveness of cybersecurity systems in supporting digital commerce infrastructure.
The discussion session was attended by distinguished academic and official figures, led by Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, The rector of the University, and Professor Dr. Abdul Khaleq Hadi Tawaf, Dean of Faculty of Finance and Business, along with several academics and students.
Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar expressed his pride in the high academic level demonstrated in the research, emphasizing that such projects reflect the advancement of education and scientific research at Ar-Rasheed Smart University.
He stated, “I am proud of this renewed scientific contribution and these promising students, who have demonstrated a remarkable ability to connect modern concepts such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital commerce. These are the graduates we aspire to lead institutional and knowledge transformation in our nation.”
Meanwhile, Professor Dr. Abdul Khaleq Tawaf, Dean of the Faculty, praised the quality and significance of the research, noting that the Faculty is committed to supporting research directions aligned with market needs and global challenges. He added, “This research reflects deep intellectual awareness and mastery of contemporary technologies, which we strive to instill in our students from their first day at the faculty until their graduation.”
The discussion committee, consisting of Dr. Hussein Al-Shaari (Research Supervisor), Dr. Jamal Al-Do'ais (Internal Examiner), and Dr. Arafat Al-Ra’i (External Examiner), commended the completeness of the research and presentation style, considering it a model example of integrating academic analysis with practical application.
In conclusion, this research represents a new milestone in academic excellence at Ar-Rasheed Smart University, proving that when young minds are given space for creativity, they produce projects that open vast horizons for the future.
