Between the passion for learning and the weight of medical responsibility, and in an atmosphere filled with ambition and looking forward to the future, Faculty of Dentistry at Ar-Rasheed Smart University launched an intensive training course today for dentistry students entering the clinical training phase at the outpatient dental clinics.

This step serves as a strategic bridge that transitions students from theoretical studies to the realm of practical application within the clinics, where direct contact with patients begins. This represents a crucial milestone in their academic and professional journey.

The three-week course aims to prepare students scientifically and practically to embark on the clinical work environment. This is achieved by equipping them with the fundamental skills that enable them to deal professionally with various clinical cases and enhancing their readiness with confidence and competence.

For her part, the Dean of the Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Latifa Al-Najjar, emphasized the human and professional sides of this training, stating: "The moment a student transitions from simulating models to direct patient interaction is the most important turning point in their career as a dentist. We do not merely teach lessons; we refine skills and minds. A successful doctor, in our vision, is one whose mind is inhabited by knowledge and whose skills are embodied in their hands."

She added: "We have designed this course to be a deep and comprehensive experience that grants our students complete readiness for clinical work with the utmost competence, fulfilling our responsibility to graduate distinguished medical professionals who create a better future for healthcare."

The training encompasses a set of practical areas, most notably the basics of diagnosis and treatment planning, managing common cases in the clinic, handling emergency and critical situations, and training on the use of dental instruments. Additionally, the training covers practical applications in tooth extraction, clinical periodontal treatments, correct postures for both the doctor and the patient, and training in safe anesthesia.
