The event was organized in collaboration with the University Student Forum and took place within the university campus.

The event was graced by distinguished attendees, including the Chairman of the University Board of Trustees, Mr. Faisal Al-Zubairi; Vice Chairman Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Wazeer; the rector of the university and Board Member Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar; Dean of Student Affairs Mr. Saif Salam Al-Hakimi; Board Member and Council Rapporteur Eng. Nabil Al-Madani; and University Secretary-General Mr. Khaled Ali Al-Khader. Also in attendance were Mr. Abu Hassan Al-Mutaa and Mr. Zaidan Al-Ashwal, representing the cultural committees of the Al-Sabeen District, along with Dr. Abdulbaset Al-Shae’i, Secretary-General of the University Student Forum, as well as a gathering of academic and administrative staff and university students.

During his speech, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, Deputy Minister for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, emphasized the importance of commemorating this noble occasion to reflect on the fragrant biography of the Prophet and to adopt his example and teachings in instilling values and a spirit of striving in the hearts of future generations.

He noted that universities and students today sustain a tremendous responsibility in raising awareness, arming themselves with knowledge, and leading a scientific renaissance capable of confronting the challenges of informational and technological invasion, through which adversaries aim to undermine the nation’s principles and values.

In his heartfelt address, Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, the rector of the university, affirmed that commemorating the Prophet’s birth is not merely a celebratory event, but a moral, humanistic, and civilizational milestone that reconnects the nation with the greatest Messenger sent to perfect noble character and spread knowledge, light, and mercy.

He explained that by celebrating this occasion, the university reaffirms that its educational and research mission is inspired by the prophetic guidance that made knowledge a path to enlightenment, a bridge to peace, and a tool for liberating humanity from ignorance and servitude. He stressed that true loyalty to the noble Prophet lies in renewing our commitment to his virtuous values and translating them into practice within classrooms and research laboratories, ultimately building a conscious generation capable of shaping the future.

The rector of the university added, “The birth of the noble Prophet represents the birth of values of mercy, justice, knowledge, and peace. It is a renewed call for all of us to carry the torch of awareness and insight, and to instill in our students the meaning of being thought leaders and builders of civilization—illuminating the paths of their homelands with knowledge and action, and standing as a formidable barrier against all forms of distortion and cultural erosion.”

The event also featured poetry and nasheed performances that reflected Yemenis’ deep love for our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), including a poem by poet Ahmed Al-Dailami and an expressive nasheed performance that captured the greatness of the occasion and the revered status of the Prophet in the hearts of the nation.
