In a new step towards leadership and creativity, Ar-Rasheed Smart University continues its journey to establish academic excellence and enhance the learning and scientific research environment. This academic meeting serves as a platform to ignite the spirit of innovation and inspire everyone striving to create a bright future for students, where ambitious ideas converge with the university's strategic decisions, paving the way for broader horizons of learning, creativity, and transforming aspirations into tangible achievements.

Today, Saturday, the 22nd of November 2025,(1447), the university held its fifteenth Academic Council meeting for the academic year 1447 AH (2025–2026). This meeting was attended by a host of academic leaders aimed at steering the university towards innovation and leadership.

The meeting was chaired by Professor Abdul Lateef Haidar, The rector of the University, alongside Board of Trustees member Professor Mansour Al-Abdi, the Dean of Student Affairs, the Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center, and the Deans and Heads of Academic Departments, in addition to Dr. Samir Al-Rumaima, Head of the Scientific Research Unit, Mr. Khalid Ali Al-Khidr, Secretary-General of the university, and Mr. Qa'id Al-Jaafiri, the Registrar.

The university president began his speech by welcoming the attendees, praising the distinguished efforts of Council members in enhancing the quality of the educational process. He wished success to Dr. Ahmed Al-Rubaie, the new Dean of Student Affairs, in his first meeting and acknowledged the contributions of his predecessor, Professor Saif Salam Al-Hakimi, during his tenure.

Prof. Abdul Lateef Haidar added: “The quality of learning is not just a goal; it is the foundation upon which we build the bright future of our students. We are all committed to refining their academic and practical skills, enabling them to unleash their creativity and excel in all fields of knowledge. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed and continues to contribute to advancing Ar-Rasheed Smart University towards horizons of leadership and excellence.”

The meeting saw in-depth discussions on academic rationalization, evaluation of first-level grades, the scientific research plan, as well as the study of proposals for launching new programs and developing the educational environment within the colleges and programs.

The meeting concluded with a spirit of enthusiasm and ambition, as the Council members renewed their commitment to transforming Ar-Rasheed Smart University into a beacon of knowledge that provides a vibrant environment for students to innovate ideas and achieve tangible accomplishments.
