A Field Visit by the President of the Academic Accreditation Council Highlights the Excellence of Ar-Rasheed Smart University and Its Readiness for Specialized Program Accreditation

As part of its strategic partnership with the Academic Accreditation Council and its commitment to ensuring the quality of higher education, Ar-Rasheed Smart University conducted a field visit on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. The visit was led by Professor Dr. Adel Al-Matari, President of the Academic Accreditation Council, and took place alongside a technical support workshop focused on preparing self-evaluation studies for seven academic programs seeking accreditation. These programs include: Laboratory Medicine, Information Technology, Graphics and Multimedia, International Business Administration (English), Business Administration (Arabic), and Accounting (in both Arabic and English).

The visit aimed to showcase the university’s infrastructure, including engineering and technology labs, external dental clinics, medical laboratories, and the central library. Accompanying Dr. Al-Matari were: Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Wazir – Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees Professor Dr. Mansour Al-Abdi – Member of the Board of Trustees Professor Dr. Abdulhameed AShuja’a – Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center Dr. Adel Rawaa – Head of Mechatronics Engineering Department Mr. Khaled Ali Al-Khader – Secretary-General of the University

During the tour, Dr. Al-Matari expressed his deep satisfaction with the modern facilities and advanced infrastructure, affirming that the university’s laboratories, library, and educational clinics reflect its serious commitment to providing a comprehensive academic environment aligned with national quality standards. He emphasized that Ar-Rasheed Smart University is well-positioned to be among the leading institutions pursuing academic accreditation.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Wazir added that the visit offered the Accreditation Council a clear view of the university’s ambitious vision and its mission to uphold standards of quality and academic excellence.

Dr. Al-Matari concluded that Ar-Rasheed Smart University has made significant progress on its path toward accreditation, demonstrating its dedication to building a modern scientific institution that blends quality standards with innovation, aspiring to become a pioneering model of a smart university in Yemen and the region.
