Students of International Business Administration at Ar-Rasheed Smart University discuss in their graduation research the impact of modern technology on the development of Yemeni commercial companies.

In a scene that reflects the spirit of academic leadership and engagement with rapid technological transformations, Faculty of Finance and Business – International Business Administration Department (English) – hosted a discussion session on Monday morning, May 19, 2025. The session featured distinguished graduation research titled: “The Reality of Modern Technology Application in Commercial Companies in the Republic of Yemen,” presented by a group of students as part of the graduation requirements for the academic year 1446 (2024–2025).

The session was marked by notable academic attendance, led by Professor Dr. Saif Salam Al-Hakimi – Dean of Student Affairs, and Dr. Jamal Al-Duais – Head of the Business Administration Department, alongside several faculty members and students in an atmosphere combining academic rigor with vibrant student engagement.

The student research team, consisting of: Munir Ahmed Al-Karkashi, Youssef Fouad Al-Mutreb, Zaid Ali Al-Ward, Owais Mohammed Shizer, and Elias Yahya Rajeh, delivered a solid analytical presentation reviewing the extent to which Yemeni companies adopt modern technology, the challenges hindering this transformation, and a set of insights and recommendations that may contribute to accelerating digital transformation in the commercial sector.

The discussion committee included: Dr. Hussein Al-Shaari (Internal Examiner), Dr. Ziad Al-Bokhaiti (External Examiner), and Dr. Yasser Al-Zamani (Research Supervisor). The committee expressed admiration for the academic level presented, praising the research efforts that demonstrated advanced knowledge awareness and an ability to connect theoretical frameworks with real-world challenges in Yemen’s business environment.

At the end of the discussion, Faculty of Finance and Business commended the students’ dedication, affirming that such research embodies the university's mission to prepare graduates capable of contributing effectively to business development and keeping pace with the digital revolution.
