The event went beyond scientific discourse, featuring rich discussions and creative student presentations that reflected their deep understanding of the topic and their ability to connect academic theory with practical application.

Dr. Salah Wajihuddin, Head of the Pharmacy Department at Ar-Rasheed Smart University, emphasized that commemorating World Patient Safety Day reaffirms the department’s and faculty’s commitment to preparing a generation of pharmacists who are fully aware of their pivotal role in patient protection. He noted that drug interactions remain one of the most pressing challenges in therapeutic systems, and raising awareness about them is essential to mitigating their risks to patient health. He added: “Through this event, we aimed to empower students with knowledge of the most critical interactions, believing that awareness is the first line of defense, and that a well-informed pharmacist is the shield that protects society from medication errors.”
