Today, Thursday, December 19, 2024, faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Primary Health Care Sector - the National Program for the Control of AIDS and Blood-Borne Diseases at the Ministry of Health and Environment, conducted a scientific awareness lecture on the control of Hepatitis (B&C) viruses and the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) on the university campus.

The scientific lecture, which targeted students in the scientific departments of the faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, aimed to raise the students' awareness about the control of Hepatitis (B&C) viruses and the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), diagnosis, treatment, and the necessary preventive measures to protect them from occupational risks and exposure to infection while providing services after graduation.

In this regard, the Dean of faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Prof. Ikram Al-Iryani, emphasized the importance of this awareness lecture for the students, as these diseases pose a major challenge and burden on the health sector and public health of the individual in the community. She expressed her great gratitude to the Primary Health Care Sector at the Ministry of Health and Environment for its cooperation in implementing this valuable lecture
