Faculty of Finance and Business at Ar-Rasheed Smart University Organizes an Entrepreneurial Exhibition for Its Students as Part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

In an atmosphere brimming with enthusiasm and creativity, Ar-Rasheed Smart University marked a new chapter in its pioneering journey on Saturday, August 23, 2025, as the Faculty of Finance and Business— in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Forum and the University Student Gathering—organized an exhibition of student entrepreneurial projects. The event featured 32 innovative ventures that embodied students’ aspirations and their vision of transforming ideas into promising opportunities and sustainable businesses.

The exhibition witnessed high-level official attendance, with the ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, The rector of the University, alongside Professor Dr. Abdul Khaleq Tawaf, Dean of faculty of Finance and Business, Dr. Jamal Al-Duais, Head of the Business Administration Department, Mr. Khaled Ali Al-Khader, Secretary-General of the University, and Mr. Osama Al-Zomor, Director of Human Resources.

The rector of the university and accompanying officials toured the exhibition booths, expressing admiration for the remarkable diversity of projects and affirming that over 90% of them possess the potential to evolve into successful real-world ventures.

Attendees listened to student presentations detailing their innovations and displayed products, commending the entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by the participants. In this context, the rector of the university emphasized that these student initiatives represent a genuine foundation for an innovative economic future, and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to nurturing creativity and encouraging students to turn their projects into entrepreneurial success stories.

For his part, the Dean of faculty of Finance and Business explained that through the Entrepreneurship Forum, the university aims to promote a culture of innovation, educate students on the fundamentals of building small businesses, and incubate their entrepreneurial ideas into scalable projects. He noted that the forum conducts a variety of activities, including regular exhibitions, short training programs, and workshops on creative thinking and innovation skills.

The exhibition showcased a wide array of student-led entrepreneurial projects, reflecting the diversity of their creative talents. Among the featured ideas were: smart incense, scented candles, handmade crafts, perfumes, sweets, beverages, stuffed grape leaves, chocolates, abayas, books, and other inventive concepts that demonstrated the youth’s passion for creating self-employment opportunities and sustainable ventures.

Through this initiative, Ar-Rasheed Smart University students proved that entrepreneurship is not a distant dream, but a reality they are shaping today with their ideas and determination—reinforcing the university’s role as a hub for innovation and a launchpad for ideas toward a brighter future.
