Amidst the accelerating academic movement and ambitious strategic directions, Ar-Rasheed Smart University held its 29th periodic meeting of the Council of Deans and Heads of Academic Departments on the morning of Saturday, 19 1446, (5,17, 2025) under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Haider, the rector of the university, in the Meeting Hall at the university campus.
The meeting took place at a pivotal time when higher education is undergoing profound transformations. The council discussed several key topics, including reports on electronic and annual exams, the academic calendar, graduate surveys, and the human resources management matrix. Additionally, developmental proposals were presented to enhance academic and administrative efficiency at the university.
The meeting was attended by Board of Trustees member Professor Dr. Mansour Al-Abdi, along with deans of faculties and heads of academic departments, who represent the core of the university’s academic movement, as well as the university’s secretary-general, Professor Khaled Ali Al-Khadr.
In his opening speech, the rector of the university welcomed the attendees, appreciating their efforts and emphasizing that: 'Our meetings are not merely administrative moments, but rather stations for evaluation, development, and launching into the future. Our goal is clear: high-quality education, competitive competencies, and graduates who make a difference locally and internationally.'
He also highlighted that Ar-Rasheed Smart University continues to build an educational environment where rigorous academic standards integrate with modern technological tools, in line with the university’s vision to empower students and prepare them according to the evolving demands of the labor market.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the council approved several developmental recommendations and strategic initiatives aimed at reinforcing quality and innovation across various university operations, strengthening the university’s position within the leading higher education landscape in Yemen and the region.
