Sponsored by the rector of the University, Ar-Rasheed Language and Skills Center (RLSC) at Ar-Rasheed Smart University, in cooperation with the Cybersecurity Department, held a training workshop titled "Data Governance and Security" on Monday, Jumada Al-Thani 8, 1446 (December 9, 2024).
During the opening of the workshop, which was presented via the Zoom program by the international trainer Dr. Muhammad Khayri from Jarvis Christian University - Texas, a number of students from the Cybersecurity and Information Technology departments at the university participated. The Head of the Cybersecurity Department, Associate Professor Dr. Anwar Al-Thari, welcomed the workshop presenter and all the attendees, emphasizing that the workshop is considered one of the important workshops that explores governance and protects data assets, as well as expanding the students' awareness and knowledge of data management, keeping up with evolving threats, and how to build a secure framework for data governance. He expressed his great gratitude to the international trainer, Dr. Muhammad Khayri, for presenting the valuable workshop.
In turn, the international trainer, Dr. Muhammad Khayri, discussed several main topics in the workshop, including: defining data governance and its tasks as one of the essential components of data management, data quality management, challenges and solutions in implementing cybersecurity in data governance, how to build a secure framework for data governance, and why cybersecurity is important for data governance.
