Ar-Rasheed Language and Skills Center (RLSC) and the Cybersecurity Department at the university, in cooperation with SECUREWAY company, held a free workshop on Monday, November 18, 2024, titled: "How Can Daily Cybersecurity Help Secure Your Digital Life?". The workshop took place in the main hall on the university campus.

During the opening of the workshop, which was attended by the Dean of faculty of Engineering and Technology, the Head of the Cybersecurity Department, the executive team from SECUREWAY company, and a number of academics and interested students, the Dean of Ar-Rasheed Language and Skills Center, welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of the workshop which provides us with the knowledge to protect ourselves from online threats, scams, and fraud.

The dean of RLSC expressed his gratitude to the SECUREWAY company for their cooperation in delivering the workshop, as well as to the dean of faculty of Engineering and Technology and the head of Cybersecurity Department at the university for their efforts in coordinating and organizing the workshop.

The trainer, Hani Al-Ward from SECUREWAY, covered several topics in the workshop, including security protection, the difference between information and data, how to take security precautions to protect our information, how to avoid being subjected to breaches, and ways to identify if someone has been hacked.
