Towards a Smart University Shaping the Future of Education: Ar-Rasheed University's Deans and Heads of Departments counsel Hold Their Regular Meeting to Discuss E-Exams and the Summer Semester

In a scene reflecting Al-Rasheed Smart University’s commitment to continuous innovation and development, the University Council of Deans and Heads of Departments held its 25th regular meeting on the morning of Saturday, April 12, 2025, under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, the rector of the University, in the meeting hall at the university compus.

The The meeting was attended by Board of Trustees member Professor Dr. Mansour Al-Abdi, along with faculty deans, heads of scientific departments, Mr. Khaled Ali Al-Khadr, Secretary-General of the University, and Dr. Shaif Al-Hakimi, Head of the Central Control Unit.

The meeting commenced with a welcoming speech by the rector of the University, in which he expressed his appreciation for the efforts of academic and administrative staff, affirming that, “Our journey towards a smart university is incomplete without everyone’s collaboration, proactive planning, and a clear strategy.”

The rector of the University emphasized: “We are not merely seeking to keep up with the future, but to shape it. Technology is no longer an option—it is a necessity dictated by the aspirations of our students and the trust of parents. This meeting is another step toward transforming our university into a fully integrated smart learning environment that fosters creativity and excellence.”

The council discussed several key topics, primarily focusing on mechanisms to enhance the electronic examination system in alignment with global standards for quality assurance and academic fairness. Discussions also covered student academic guidance, the launch of the summer semester, and setting the academic and administrative framework for its efficient execution. Additionally, the council reviewed plans for preparing graduates according to the highest organizational and honorary standards.

The meeting concluded with a number of recommendations and decisions aimed at improving academic and administrative performance and enhancing the overall student experience, reflecting the university's commitment to delivering high-quality education that meets the demands of the modern era.
