Level 3 of Interior Design students conducted a field visit to old Sana'a
On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Level 3 of Interior Design students conducted a field visit to old Sana'a, under the supervision of the Head of the Interior Design Department and the instructor of the Yemeni Heritage and Interior Architecture course
This visit aimed to provide the students with a visual and practical exposure to the Sana’anian heritage in terms of the interior and exterior of the buildings since their inception.
During the visit, the students learned about the design elements in the historic buildings of Sana'a, as well as the problems of neglect and how to preserve them, which are part of the World Heritage List (Old Shebam, Old Sana'a, Zabid, Socotra Archipelago, and the Kingdom of Sheba in Marib).
They also visited the building of the Women's Center for Handicrafts, where the students learned about a model of the Sana’anian building with all its details.
For her part, the Head of the Interior Design Department expressed her great gratitude to everyone for their hospitality and reception, wishing them continued success and distinction
