In an atmosphere of creativity and competition, Freshmen of Interior Design students today submitted their final projects for the Design Fundamentals 1 course, under the supervision of the course instructors: Eng. Liqaa Al-Ahdal, Eng. Wanda Al-Abyad, Eng. Nada Al-Arashi, Eng. Baraa Al-Siri, and Eng. Khawla Al-Qabati, on the university campus.

The course is considered the fundamental basis in shaping the engineering mindset, developing imagination, and enhancing students' skills according to the latest design principles and foundations. It aims to prepare students to apply these foundations in their future designs by providing them with the ability to think critically, creatively, and work collaboratively.

The course teaching focuses on two parts: The first part revolved around understanding the core foundations of design, starting from the point and line, passing through the shape, plane, and texture, and ending with understanding colors and their theories.

The second part presented the basic principles of design, such as repetition, rhythm, movement, and balance in its various forms, in addition to harmony, unity, dominance, contrast, pattern, and proportion.

Through the application of these foundations and principles, the students' ability to analyze and utilize visual elements was enhanced, and they were able to produce integrated artistic works, based on sequential studies, which enabled them to achieve the core objectives of the course.
