Female students of Business Administration at Ar-Rasheed Smart University discuss qualitative research on the impact of transformational leadership on the organizational climate in water factories (Hadda, Sam, Sana'a).
In an era of rapid transformations and an increasing need for visionary leaders capable of making a difference, students at Ar-Rasheed Smart University prove that they are not just learners but thought leaders and architects of change. They do not merely acquire knowledge; they expand its horizons and reshape the future with rigorous scientific standards. In this context, female students from the Business Administration Department (Arabic Program) at Faculty of Finance and Business excelled on Sunday, May 25, 2025, by presenting distinguished graduation research titled:
“The Impact of Transformational Leadership on Organizational Climate – A Field Study on Water Factories in Sana’a.”
The research, presented by students Rima Al-Dhawi, Asmaa Al-Raini, Yusra Al-Jamrah, Raghad Al-Samawi, Shaima Al-Houthi, and Doul Al-Houthi, was a pioneering step as part of the requirements for obtaining a bachelor's degree for the academic year 1446 (2024–2025). It aimed to highlight the importance of transformational leadership in creating a stimulating and positive work environment within water factories in the capital, Sana’a.
With the presence of distinguished university leaders, including Professor Dr. Abdulkhaleq Hadi Tawwaf, Dean of Faculty of Finance and Business, along with several academics and students, the students delivered an outstanding research presentation. They explored the dimensions of transformational leadership and its impact on organizational climate, based on a field study involving 120 employees from various water factories (Hadda, Sam, Sana’a).
The results indicated a statistically significant impact of transformational leadership on organizational climate, particularly in areas related to encouraging creativity, fairness in employment and promotions. The study also identified some shortcomings in this aspect and provided several key recommendations, including:
• Enhancing transformational leadership methods to improve the work environment.
• Adopting professional development strategies aligned with employees’ skills and interests.
• Ensuring fairness in recruitment and promotion procedures.
Dean Professor Dr. Abdulkhaleq Tawwaf expressed his pride in the students’ achievements, stating: "What we witnessed today in terms of scientific presentation and precise analysis confirms that we have promising female talents capable of producing impactful knowledge connected to the job market. This research reflects academic maturity and constitutes a valuable addition to the field of management and organizational leadership. We congratulate our students on this excellence and look forward to seeing them as true leaders in workplaces and innovation."
The discussion committee, consisting of Dr. Jamal Al-Duais (Internal Examiner), Dr. Mohammed Al-Awlaqi (External Examiner), and Dr. Samir Al-Sanab (Research Supervisor), praised the quality and uniqueness of the research, considering it a model study that opens new scientific horizons for exploring institutional transformation and organizational development.
