Development and Quality Assurance Center was established in 1/6/2021 to be responsible for the University performance observation and self-assessment to ensure that all faculties, centers and administrative units comply with the University regulations, bylaws, polices, standards, and procedures in order to improve and develop the quality of the University inputs, procedures, and outcomes.

Goals
- Spreading and building quality assurance culture through quality assurance conferences, seminars, workshops, forums, and bulletins.
- Developing the quality and effectiveness of the University operations through strategic planning, assessment, and regular reviewing as well as continuous improvement of academic programs and the performance of the University faculties, departments, centers, and administrative units.
- Ensuring compliance with the University polices, bylaws as well as other related rules and regulations.
- Providing the faculties and departments with technical support required to apply for program accreditation.
- Conducting on-going professional development for all the University academic staff, administrative leaders, as well as technicians working in the faculties, laboratories, and administrative units at the University.
- Building a database that serves quality assurance purposes as well as academic and institutional development in the University and managing information flow related to the quality of University performance to achieve the University mission and strategic goals.
- Seeking institutional accreditation for the University.

Strategic Planning Unit
This unit is responsible for a number of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Preparing the University strategic and operational plans, ascertaining implementation, and preparing the annual reports.
- Following up with the implementation of the University plans regularly.
- Assisting the University faculties, centers, and general secretariat to develop their strategic and action plans.
- Developing indicators for the University academic and institutional performance.
- Preparing plans or programs of the University quality assurance activities.
- Providing faculties, academic departments, and administrative units at the University with the technical support required to implement quality assurance development plans.
Academic Programs Unit
This unit is responsible for a number of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Providing technical guidance and support to academic departments to help them prepare their programs according to NARS.
- Preparing experimental and field studies to identify the effective teaching methods in different specializations so as to develop them.
- Conducting seminars to study and discuss the local and regional similar academic programs and departments.
- Providing technical support and guidance to faculties, centers, as well as the general secretariat to help them maintain quality assurance and prepare for the academic accreditation.
- Supervising quality assurance and academic accreditation committees’ performance in the faculties.
- Following up with quality assurance activities and self-evaluation committees in the faculties and general secretariat.
Assessment and Evaluation Unit
This unit is responsible for a number of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Developing self-evaluation tools.
- Discussing self-evaluation results and external evaluators’ reports.
- Assessing and identifying students’ needs, abilities and aptitude for their academic journey.
- Developing different evaluation tools for the university teaching and non-teaching staff in the departments and faculties, as well as participating in analyzing these tools.
- Evaluating exam papers regularly and analyzing results of end-of-semester or end-of-year exams in the University.
- Preparing pamphlets and bulletins on new trends and developments in evaluation methods in higher education.
Information Documentation Unit
This unit is responsible for a number of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Documenting quality assurance activities in the University.
- Preparing annual reports on development and quality assurance.
- Keeping documents, plans, reports, statistics, and all other information.
- Preparing forms that serve quality assurance purposes.
- Developing archiving standards to keep documents with numbers, codes, and dates.
- Developing appropriate procedures for the documents flow, circulation, as well as their implementation.
- Keeping electronic records for quality assurance activities at the University and publishing them in the University website as well as social media.
- Participating in preparing the weekly, monthly, quarterly and final exports.
Training and Technical Support Unit
This unit is responsible for a number of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Identifying the training needs for the academic and administrative staff and technicians.
- Preparing the appropriate training materials that achieve the training goals.
- Organizing specialist training courses for developing teachers’ skills.
- Assessing the training programs effectiveness using direct and indirect methods.
- Conducting seminars and workshops to introduce any developments in teaching methods and strategies as well as new educational applications.
