Development and quality Assurance news

As part of the university's ongoing efforts to elevate the educational process and reinforce academic quality standards, Development and Quality Assurance Center held a pivotal meeting today, Wednesday, May 19, 2026, to monitor academic progress and evaluate the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment methodologies.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Abdulhameed AShuja', Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center, in the presence of Mr. Khaled Ali Al-Khadher, Secretary-General of the University, and Prof. Ikram Al-Iryani, Dean of faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Also attending were Dr. Salah Wajeeh Addin, Head of Pharmacy Department, alongside distinguished faculty members from the faculty: Prof. Mahmoud Al-Buraihi, Assoc. Prof. Saleem Al-Riyashi, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Matari.

The discussions centered on several key areas aimed at driving educational advancement. Participants explored innovative ways to enhance course quality and adopt modern teaching techniques that align with global medical education requirements and accredited academic standards. Additionally, the meeting reviewed evaluation tools and learning outcome measurements to ensure students achieve the highest levels of scientific and practical competence.

The attendees emphasized the critical integration between academic and practical learning, highlighting the need to continuously modernize educational and assessment methods. This approach is vital to fostering an inspiring educational ecosystem that fuels student creativity and academic excellence.
