In a step reflecting the confidence of national institutions in the academic development path pursued by Ar-Rasheed Smart University, the university welcomed today, Saturday, April 25, 2026, a specialized committee from the Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance (CAQA). The field visit aimed to evaluate the Architecture and Artificial Intelligence programs, as part of the Council’s efforts to enhance the quality of higher education and elevate its outcomes to keep pace with future requirements.
The visit was conducted under the supervision of the Chairman of the Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance, Prof. Dr. Adel Mohammed Al-Matari. The Council formed evaluation committees consisting of elite experts and academics, including Mr. Ahmed Sultan Al-Hajami as the evaluator for the Artificial Intelligence program, and Prof. Dr. Ali Amer as the evaluator for the Architecture program, alongside Dr. Hussein Hanash, the representative of the Academic Accreditation Council.
The visit commenced with a brief meeting between the evaluation committee and the university leadership, attended by Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, President of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdulmalik Momen, Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology; Prof. Dr. Abdulhameed AShuja'a, Dean of the Development and Quality Assurance Center; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samira Al-Shawesh, Head of the Architecture Department; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anwar Al-Thari, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Program, along with several faculty members and specialists.
During the meeting, Dr. Hussein Hanash explained that this visit is part of the continuous monitoring of academic programs' compliance with quality and accreditation standards. He emphasized that the Council continues to implement its development plans to enhance the efficiency of university programs and raise the level of institutional performance in higher education institutions.
For his part, the University President, Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, welcomed the Council’s committee, stressing that the university views evaluation visits as a real opportunity to strengthen the path of continuous development and improvement.

"We consider this visit an important step that enhances our ability to provide academic programs that keep pace with scientific transformations and meet our students' aspirations in shaping the future."
Following the meeting, the committee began its technical work by reviewing the documents for both programs according to the approved evaluation forms. This was accompanied by a field tour that included educational laboratories, the digital library, and student activity facilities to observe the level of readiness and resources provided by the university to support the educational environment.
At the conclusion of the visit, a commemorative photo was taken in the University President's office, reflecting the spirit of cooperation and partnership between Ar-Rasheed Smart University and the Academic Accreditation Council, embodying the university's commitment to the path of quality and continuous development.
