Within the framework of its strategic direction towards consolidating academic excellence and expanding its societal impact, the Board of Trustees of Ar-Rasheed Smart University held its regular meeting for the academic year 1447 AH (2025–2026) today, Monday, April 20, 2026. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Faisal Al-Zubairi at the university’s headquarters to discuss several vital files related to institutional development.

The agenda was topped by discussions on the final preparations for the opening of Ar-Rasheed University Hospital, the activities of the Scientific Research Unit, and the competitive scholarship programs for admission and registration. These discussions reflect the university's commitment to building an integrated educational and research ecosystem.

The meeting was attended by: Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Wazir, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Abdul Latif Haidar, University President; Board members Mr. Osama Al-Jadabi, Mr. Mohammed Abdulsalam Mansour, and Mr. Faisal Amin Abu Ras; as well as Prof. Samir Al-Rumaima, Head of the Scientific Research Unit; Mr. Khalid Ali Al-Khader, University Secretary-General; Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Haddad, Director of Financial Affairs; Mr. Rami Al-Khatib, General Manager of Ar-Rasheed Hospital; Mr. Ahmed Al-Wajih, Financial Manager of the hospital; and Ms. Hanan Sofan, Director of the President's Office.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Faisal Al-Zubairi, emphasized that Ar-Rasheed Smart University is moving confidently toward a new phase of qualitative achievement. He noted that the university's current progress is the fruit of a clear vision that believes leading institutions do not just keep pace with the future but actively contribute to shaping it.

"We are not merely building an educational institution; we are establishing an environment that shapes individuals capable of leadership and change," Al-Zubairi stated. "Ar-Rasheed Hospital, supporting scientific research, and expanding competitive scholarships are not separate projects, but parts of a single vision aimed at transforming the university into an inspiring national model in education, innovation, and community service."

He added that the coming phase requires redoubling efforts, enhancing integration between academic and administrative aspects, and continuing to invest in competencies and qualitative programs that elevate the university's status and grant its students broader opportunities for local and international excellence.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Samir Al-Rumaima, Head of the Scientific Research Unit, presented the unit's achievements, highlighting the launch of electronic platforms for peer-reviewed scientific journals and the reception of research papers according to academic arbitration standards. The presentation received praise and appreciation from the Board members.

The Board also discussed several academic and administrative issues and approved a set of decisions and recommendations designed to enhance performance efficiency and raise quality standards across various university facilities, in line with its development plans and future vision.

This meeting underscores the Board of Trustees' dedication to monitoring vital projects and supporting continuous development paths, reinforcing Ar-Rasheed Smart University’s position as a leading educational institution contributing to a brighter future.
