Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, the rector of Ar-Rasheed Smart University, Language and Skills Center organized a workshop titled: "Designing Professional Presentations Using Prezi and PowerPoint" on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, targeting faculty members on the university campus
The workshop, conducted by Ms. Sarah Barbaa, aimed to equip participants with the skills and tools necessary to prepare and deliver impactful and professional presentations that clearly and attractively convey ideas to the audience.
The workshop covered several important topics, including a comprehensive comparison between Prezi and PowerPoint, exploring the world of Prezi, and designing impressive slides using PowerPoint instead of Prezi.
The Dean of the Language and Skills Center, Prof. Dr. Abdulhameed AShuja', emphasized that the business and education world is witnessing a significant shift towards presenting content in innovative ways that capture attention and remain memorable. Among the leading tools that enable the design of professional presentations are Prezi and PowerPoint, which represent flexible platforms meeting various needs. From this perspective, we launched the workshop titled "Designing Professional Presentations Using Prezi and PowerPoint," targeting university faculty members.
The Dean pointed out that the workshop is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the faculty's ability to present their ideas professionally and creatively, enabling participants to acquire skills in designing dynamic presentations using Prezi, as well as developing organized and advanced presentations using PowerPoint
He added that the workshop is part of the comprehensive development plan adopted by Ar-Rasheed Smart University, represented by Language and Skills Center and Development and Quality Assurance Center, believing that the ability to communicate effectively and present content innovatively is fundamental to success in academic and professional fields. We always strive to provide programs and activities that enhance participants' opportunities for excellence and innovation.
