On a continuous journey toward excellence and shaping the future, Ar-Rasheed Smart University continues its pioneering efforts to elevate higher education, placing students at the heart of the learning process. In this context, the Deans' Council and Department Heads held their 24th periodic meeting on Saturday, April 5, 2025, chaired by Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, the rector of the university, to discuss preparations for electronic exams for first-year students in the second semester and review proposed plans for the upcoming summer term.

The meeting, attended by Board of Trustees member Prof. Dr. Mansour Al-Abdi, deans of faculties, heads of departments, university secretary-general Mr. Khaled Ali Al-Khadhr, and Dr. Shaif Al-Hakimi, head of the central control unit, began with a congratulatory message from the rector of the university on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. He praised their dedication and reaffirmed the institution’s continued support for their academic journey.

In his opening remarks, Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar emphasized that Ar-Rasheed Smart University is no longer just a provider of knowledge but has become an active platform for graduating a generation equipped with critical thinking, innovation, and adaptability to labor market changes.

The rector of the university highlighted its holistic educational vision that goes beyond traditional success, stating: “At Al-Rasheed Smart University, we do not merely prepare our students to pass exams; we equip them to become change leaders in their communities. Electronic exams mark the beginning of a more advanced and transparent educational environment based on efficiency and fairness. As for the summer semester, we consider it a strategic platform for skill refinement, accelerated achievement, and academic excellence for those striving to make a difference.”

During the meeting, several key topics were discussed, including implementation and organization plans for electronic exams to ensure the highest standards of integrity and quality, as well as reviewing proposals for the summer semester and mechanisms to enhance it as a strategic option for students seeking flexible academic advancement.

The meeting concluded with several recommendations and decisions aimed at improving academic and administrative performance and enhancing the overall student experience.
