Within the framework of its continuous efforts to develop academic programs and anticipate future specializations, the Academic Council (Council of Deans) at Ar-Rasheed Smart University held its 25th regular meeting for the academic year 1447 AH (2025–2026) today, Saturday, April 25, 2026. Chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, the meeting was dedicated to discussing the progress of the educational process, academic accreditation documents, and study plans, as well as reviewing documents for new academic programs that meet the requirements of the local and regional labor market.

The meeting was attended by deans of faculties, heads of scientific departments, the Dean of the Development and Quality Assurance Center, the Dean of Student Affairs, the Head of the Scientific Research Unit, and the University Secretary-General. This gathering reflects the spirit of institutional integration adopted by the university in academic decision-making and enhancing the quality of educational outcomes.

In his speech during the meeting, the University President, Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, emphasized that Ar-Rasheed Smart University operates on a firm belief that true development begins with updating academic programs and linking them to future needs. He noted that the university does not merely keep pace with scientific transformations but seeks to create them.

"We do not build traditional academic programs; rather, we create educational paths capable of preparing a generation that possesses knowledge, skill, and vision," he stated. "We believe that true investment is in the human element, and that the future of nations begins in a university that has the courage to constantly renew and innovate."

The Council discussed several vital topics, most notably monitoring the progress of the summer semester, tracking second-semester courses with supplementary credits, and reviewing new study plans. Additionally, the Council discussed academic accreditation documents for several specializations and plans for preparing self-evaluation studies for the Dentistry, General Pharmacy, Mechatronics, Interior Design, and Cybersecurity programs.

The Council also devoted a significant part of the meeting to discussing documents for new programs, including Renewable Energy, Business Information Technology, and Therapeutic Nutrition. These specialized programs reflect the university's orientation toward opening modern academic horizons that respond to rapid shifts across various scientific and professional sectors.

The meeting concluded with a series of decisions and recommendations aimed at enhancing the academic development process and elevating the level of educational and administrative performance. these outcomes align with the university's vision and mission to build a modern educational environment that creates knowledge and qualifies competencies.
