The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ahmed Al-Rubaie, Dean of Student Affairs, and attended by Professor Abdul Lateef Haidar, President of the University, along with several departmental heads and program coordinators.

Attendees included General Registrar Mr. Qaid Al-Jaafari, Head of Revenue Department Mr. Shakib Mansour, Systems Officer Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud, and Field Training Officer Mr. Firas Abu Ras, along with educational program coordinators.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rubaie emphasized that this meeting represents a pivotal step in completing the phases of academic rationalization, which contributes to organizing students’ academic pathways more effectively while ensuring the smooth processing of grades in the system to enhance fairness and reliability in academic assessment.

The Dean of Student Affairs added, “We aim to improve the accuracy and efficiency of procedures through integration between the Dean’s units and the academic department coordinators, continuing to provide high-quality student services based on transparency and quality, positively impacting the academic experience for students.”

The meeting concluded with an inspiring address from the rector of the university, who expressed deep appreciation for the efforts of committee members and academic department coordinators, noting that the university is confidently moving forward in developing its academic system.

He added, “Ar-Rasheed Smart University relies on its students; they are the gateway to the future and the reason for our continuous advancement. We are working to build a modern educational environment that pulses with innovation. What we discuss today is not merely procedural but strategic steps that outline a more efficient and effective university, where the student is at the center of decision-making and the focal point of every development.”

The meeting saw profitable discussions on several vital topics, including academic rationalization and managing student workload, the university calendar, monitoring and confirmation mechanisms, enhancing communication and coordination between the Dean’s units and department coordinators, as well as updating procedures to meet student needs with greater flexibility and quality.

The meeting concluded with the university reiterating—through the Dean of Student Affairs—its commitment to advancing student services and enhancing them to higher levels of quality and innovation, based on a firm belief that the student is at the core of development and the spark of every achievement.

Following this approach, the Student Affairs Committee continues its diligent efforts to transform the discussed visions and proposals into actionable steps that contribute to creating a more organized and brighter phase in the journey of Al-Rasheed University.
