The event, organized by the Development and Quality Assurance Center, saw extensive participation from deans, department heads, and academic and administrative staff. This workshop is part of a series designed for self-assessment committees in preparation for upcoming academic accreditation processes.

The workshop was led by the rector, Professor Abdul Lateef Haidar, who presented a comprehensive vision for preparing a self-assessment study based on meticulous analysis, benchmark comparisons, and alignment with national and international standards. He emphasized that this study is not merely a requirement but a profound developmental pathway that enables the university to reshape its practices and document the quality of its programs in a way that reflects its commitment to academic excellence.

At the opening of the workshop, Professor Abdulhameed AShuja'a expressed pride in all participants, stating: "Your engagement today in preparing the academic accreditation requirements for seven specializations is not a routine task; it is a clear message that Ar-Rasheed Smart University has chosen the path of leadership. What we are presenting today is an investment in the future and a true beginning for building an educational system that inspires its students and competes at the highest levels of quality."

During the workshop, the rector presented a set of essential topics for preparing the self-assessment study, including: designing a meticulous methodology for the self-assessment study, drafting the initial version of the report, outlining the key elements of the report, reviewing the programs' mission, goals, and learning outcomes, and examining the supporting evidence and documentation for the evaluation process.

The heads of the self-assessment committees for the programs also presented practical examples of the achievements made in alignment with accreditation standards, affirming their full readiness for the upcoming phases in the university's journey towards excellence.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the rector, Professor Abdul Lateef Haidar remarked that the university is experiencing a genuine moment of transformation, stating: "We are not preparing for accreditation merely for a certificate to hang on the wall; we are working to create an educational experience that future generations will take pride in. Our pursuit of academic accreditation for seven specializations—as a first phase—represents a commitment to provide our students with an educational environment that exceeds expectations, competes globally, and produces graduates with a distinctive advantage."

He affirmed that the university will continue to implement a series of workshops and developmental programs that position it at the forefront of institutions striving to elevate quality standards and achieve academic accreditation that reflects its status and future vision.
