On Saturday, December 20, 2025, the Student Activities Administration at Ar-Rasheed Smart University, in collaboration with the University Student Forum, held the inaugural matches of the Football Championship as part of the Fourth Sports Olympics of Ar-Rasheed Smart University, coinciding with Martyr's Week 1447 AH, at Azal Sports Club pitch. The first day witnessed fierce competitions among 12 sports teams, where high individual skills blended with smart tactics, leading to thrilling balls and confrontations that left spectators breathless, fully immersed in the atmosphere of excitement and suspense.

In Group A:
The Mechatronics Team L4 opened the match with an exciting victory over the General Medicine and Surgery Team L1 with a score of (4 – 3) after a fierce struggle for every ball.

The Interior Design Team L2-3 achieved a crushing victory over the Dentistry Team L3 with a clean score of three goals to none.

Meanwhile, the Information Technology Team L4 dominated its opponent, the Mechatronics Team L1, with a resounding six-goal victory (6 – 0), showcasing tactical superiority and absolute offensive capability.

In Group B:
The Arabic Accounting Team L1 dramatically defeated the Cybersecurity Team L1 – GA with a score of (8 – 2), following a match characterized by relentless offensive momentum.

The Cybersecurity Team L3 claimed an exhilarating victory over the Information Technology Team L3 with a score of (7 – 6) in a match where each second of ball possession was fiercely contested.

Meanwhile, the Dentistry Team L2 triumphed over the English Accounting Team L3 with five goals to three, in a heated confrontation that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.

A total of 30 teams from various academic levels in the scientific departments are participating in the tournament, comprising 679 players, in competitions that serve as a true rehearsal for sportsmanship, teamwork, and the demonstration of both individual and collective skills.

Through such events, Ar-Rasheed Smart University confirms that sports are not merely a game; they are a school for values and leadership, a means of character building, and a field to test one’s ability to challenge, collaborate, and excel.
