In a setting that embodies Ar-Rasheed Smart University's vision that human development is the foundation of all progress, the Ar-Rasheed Center for Languages and Skills concluded a specialized training workshop on the basics of accounting Excel for the staff on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. This workshop fostered a spirit of learning and a genuine desire to enhance professional skills.
The workshop was initiated in response to the university's goal of building competencies capable of keeping pace with modern developments and enhancing employee readiness for institutional work. The training aimed to elevate participants' capabilities, providing practical tools to improve daily performance.
Over five consecutive days, Dr. Belal AShuja'a delivered advanced training content, coordinated by Ms. Maram Ismail with high professionalism. The program included practical applications of Excel in accounting and administrative aspects, alongside skills in preparing accurate reports, analyzing data, and organizing financial tables.
The closing session was attended by the Dean of the Center and the Secretary-General of the university. During the event, the rector, Professor Abdul Lateef Haidar, honored the trainer in appreciation of his efforts and presented participation certificates to the trainees in a celebratory atmosphere reflecting the benefits achieved.
The rector stated, "Investing in training the staff is not a secondary option; it is the foundation of the university’s progress and the enhancement of its services. We always strive to empower our employees with skills that make them an active part of the development journey and smart transformation we seek at Ar-Rasheed University."
For his part, the Dean of the Center for Languages and Skills, Professor Abdulhameed AShuja'a, affirmed, "We in the center are committed to implementing specialized training programs that address the needs of employees and contribute to enhancing work outputs. This workshop is a clear example of our dedication to providing professional training that combines practical application with modern knowledge."
The Secretary-General of the university, Mr. Khalid Ali Al-Khidr, expressed his pride in the efforts and remarkable engagement of the participants, emphasizing that what he witnessed during the training days reflects the spirit of passion and ambition that characterize the university's staff and their continuous pursuit of development and skills building that meet the demands of modern work.
He extended his heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to organizing and making this workshop successful, expressing confidence that its positive impact will be evident in daily performance quality and enhancing a culture of excellence within the university.
The workshop included a series of practical topics, primarily: introducing Excel and its accounting uses, managing financial data and organizing accounting tables, using basic and advanced functions and formulas, preparing professional financial reports, analyzing data using Pivot Tables, and advanced formatting skills to design ready-to-use financial models.
Participants expressed their satisfaction with this training program, which significantly enhanced their practical skills, confirming its importance in improving the quality of administrative and accounting work within the university.
This workshop is part of a series of ongoing training initiatives implemented by the university, represented by the Center for Languages and Skills, in pursuit of raising the efficiency of its staff and building a professional work environment that meets standards of quality and excellence.
