Ar-Rasheed Language and Skills Center (RLSC) at Ar-Rasheed Smart University organizes a specialized training workshop on artificial intelligence in education for public school teachers.
As part of its pioneering vision to expand its societal impact and enhance the capabilities of the nation's educational professionals, Ar-Rasheed RLSC at Ar-Rasheed Smart University organized Ar-Rasheed RLSC a free training workshop titled “Using Artificial Intelligence in Education”, held over two days, Wednesday and Thursday, May 28–29, 2025, at the university campus, with the participation of a distinguished group of public-school teachers
The workshop was held under the esteemed patronage of the rector of the University, Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, who emphasized in his opening remarks that Ar-Rasheed Smart University is committed to the principle of “The University in Service of Society” by utilizing modern resources—especially artificial intelligence technologies—to empower teachers, improve their ability to create digital content, and integrate AI tools into the educational process. He added, “Investing in teachers is investing in the future of the nation… Our teachers today are the pioneers of tomorrow, leading the way to a renewed and effective digital education.”
In his opening speech, Dean of the Language and Skills Center, Professor Abdulhameed AShuja'a, explained that this workshop is part of a series of specialized community programs offered by the center. He outlined its objectives, including equipping teachers with the ability to design AI-supported educational content, utilize AI tools in lesson planning, create interactive activities, develop educational storytelling, generate question banks, design educational infographics, and enhance overall teaching quality. He stated, “At Ar-Rasheed University, we believe that artificial intelligence will not replace teachers but will make them more influential and creative.”
The workshop covered various key topics, including: • Understanding the concept and significance of AI in education • Designing and developing interactive educational content • Lesson planning using modern methodologies • Using AI tools for analysis and educational guidance • Producing educational images, illustrations, and assessments
At the end of the workshop, participating public school teachers expressed their deep appreciation to Ar-Rasheed Smart University and the Language and Skills Center for this valuable initiative. They highlighted the practical benefits they gained from the workshop sessions, praised the organization and training methods, and stated that the skills acquired would directly impact their teaching approaches and improve education quality in their schools.
Certificates of participation were distributed to all attending teachers, amid a spirit of pride and encouragement, fostering a commitment to continued professional and educational development.
