Ar-Rasheed Language and Skills Center Conducts a Practical Field Visit to “Brand Décor” to Enhance the Efficiency of Revit and Lumion Trainees

As part of its commitment to bridging academic Ar-Rasheed RLSC training with real-world application, Ar-Rasheed RLSC at Ar-Rasheed Smart University organized a practical field visit on Sunday, June 1, 2025, for students enrolled in the summer course for Revit and Lumion programs. The visit took place at Brand Décor, under the supervision of Architect Zainab Al-Harazi, an expert in architectural design and 3D visualization.

During the visit, trainees gained hands-on exposure to various decor materials, learning about their textures, properties, dimensions, and pricing—a crucial step in expanding their practical understanding of interior design materials. The session covered wood alternatives, marble substitutes, installation dividers, wallpaper, PVC panels, upholstery materials, and fabric types, along with practical demonstrations on installation techniques and real-world execution challenges.

Additionally, trainees explored material installation processes, interactions with implementation teams and clients, and how to accurately represent these materials within Revit and Lumion software. This experience strengthened their ability to merge digital visualization with practical execution.

In this context, Associate Professor Dr. Abdulhameed AShuja’a, Dean of the Language and Skills Center, stated:

"We believe that the best learning methods begin in the real world, where experience grows and skills take shape. This field visit marks an important step in our journey to prepare a technically skilled generation capable of confidently competing in the architectural design market."

Dr. AShuja’a also extended his sincere gratitude to Brand Décor’s management for their warm reception, hospitality, and fruitful collaboration, which played a significant role in the success of this outstanding practical activity.

At the conclusion of the visit, trainees expressed their great satisfaction with the knowledge and practical insights they gained. They emphasized that this experience added a valuable real-world dimension to their learning and boosted their confidence in pursuing careers in interior design and architectural visualization.
