The Academic Council at Ar-Rasheed Smart University: A Renewed Vision Driving Change and Opening Horizons for the Future

Amid rapid transformations and growing challenges in the field of higher education, Ar-Rasheed Smart University continues to solidify its presence as a beacon of knowledge and a pioneer of innovation—setting new standards for modern university education and opening wide avenues for excellence and creativity for future generations.

In this spirit, the seventh regular meeting of the Academic Council for the academic year 1447 (2025–2026) was held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, The rector of the University. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Mansour Al-Abdi, member of the Board of Trustees, the Dean of Student Affairs, college deans, heads of academic departments, and the Secretary-General of the University, in an atmosphere filled with ambition and optimism.

In his address, The rector of the university emphasized that Ar-Rasheed Smart University was not established to be a conventional institution, but rather a modern academic model that embraces creativity and drives change. He added: “At Ar-Rasheed Smart University, we do not merely keep pace with progress—we shape its path. With a well-crafted strategic vision and a will that knows no limits, we open broader horizons for science and empower our generations to become pioneers of leadership and architects of the future.”

He called on all stakeholders—faculty, students, and administrators—to be genuine partners in this journey, with a spirit of responsibility and sincere determination, so that together they may paint a bright image of Al-Rasheed Smart University and build a future worthy of their aspirations.

The meeting addressed a number of core academic issues, including the Dean’s List, the faculty's’ implementation plans, and the examination paper policy, along with other vital topics. It concluded with a set of ambitious decisions aimed at enhancing the quality of education and supporting the university’s institutional progress.

At the close of the session, council members reaffirmed their commitment to teamwork and to the ongoing pursuit of excellence and innovation. They renewed their pledge to ensure that Ar-Rasheed Smart University remains a leading academic institution, a lighthouse of knowledge, and an inspiring space where dreams are realized and the future is drawn with bold strokes of leadership.
