Message

The General Secretariat at Ar-Rasheed Smart University is seeking to provide a unique, stable learning environment by providing the University infrastructure with the most modern teaching facilities as well as providing high-quality financial and administrative services for the University members through scientifically and ethically qualified staff.

Goals

  • Providing the required infrastructure that cope with the requirements of modern development and the University ongoing growth.
  • Establishing buildings and facilities equipped with the most modern equipment.
  • Updating existing computer labs, medical and research laboratories, and establishing new ones according to the University needs.
  • Contributing to bridging the technology and knowledge gaps that exist between the requirements of modern development and the human resources available to achieve development goals.
  • Supporting the joint cooperation efforts with the public, private, and mixed sectors to develop the University financial resources and development capacity.
  • Ensuring quality and continuous development of the University resources required for teaching/ learning process, including libraries and learning resources.
  • Developing public transportation for students to cope with the expansion in the public transportation service due to the increase in students’ numbers.
  • Providing financial, technical, and administrative support required for teaching learning development.
  • Supporting community activities to reflect a positive image of the University in the local and regional community.

General Secretariat

The Secretary General’s Message

The General Secretariate is taking the responsibility of financial and administrative tasks at the University, including preparing strategic plans, regular reports and issuing financial and administrative statistics. It also takes the charge of tasks related to services, maintenance, and public relations, which are considered the most crucial components that facilitate and ensure successful progress of the learning/ teaching process. To achieve these tasks the General Secretary subsumes these departments: Finance, human resources, services and maintenance, and transportation.

In general, the General Secretariat is responsible for a number of tasks, the most prominent of which are: i) ensuring proper flow of the learning/teaching process taking into account the authorities of other faculties and administrative units at the university; ii) preparing the university’s annual budget and supervising its implementation; iii) ensuring the provision of funds for laboratories, research activities, and development activities; iv) ensuring university’s internal security; and v) ensuring smooth flow of work activities and tasks at the university.

I am therefore honored to be in the position of Secretary General at the University, supervising its various units, as well as working with the university’s faculties and deanships in order to achieve the university’s goals and strategic plan.

Human Resources

  • Developing effective motivating work system.
  • Facilitating administrative procedures and services for the human resources at the University.
  • Preparing and executing annual strategic plans for human resources management.
  • Developing administrative staff’s skills to improve performance.
  • Educating the University staff about the University bylaws, rules, and regulations.

Financial Section

  • Ensuring financial monitoring of the University operations and capital expenditures to maintain the University assets and financial resources.
  • Ensuring good implementation of the University financial systems and procedures.
  • Responding to the University future financial needs by planning budgets according to available resources.
  • Providing accounting statements according to the international accounting standards.

IT Department

  •  Practicing good governance in assessing and using modern technology.

  • Providing reliable communication networks, technical and digital infrastructure, as well as computing systems to university members.
  • Providing easy access to information technology services.
  • Responding effectively to technical support needs for the University members.
  • Enhancing feedback and users’ satisfaction survey results with IT services at the University.
  • Offering training for the University staff members to develop their skills in using digital systems to ensure the use of the University information technology to the fullest.
