With Mature Thinking and a Promising Vision… Female Business Administration Students at Ar-Rasheed Smart University Discuss a Pioneering Graduation Research on Blockchain Technology and Its Impact on Security and Privacy in Financial Payments

In a scene that embodies academic ambition and a forward-looking approach to the digital future, Ar-Rasheed Smart University hosted a graduation research discussion on Sunday, May 25, 2025, featuring one of the most distinguished studies in the Faculty of Finance and Business, International Business Administration Department (English Program), titled:

“The Impact of Blockchain Adoption on Privacy and Security in Financial Payments.”

This research is the result of a rigorous academic journey filled with dedication and innovation, presented by students Rima Shamlan, Rima Al-Madani, Rawan Al-Halali, and Ibtisam Al-Babli, who set a remarkable example of Yemeni women leading knowledge and technological transformation.

During the session, attended by several university leaders, including Professor Dr. Saif Salam Al-Hakimi, Dean of Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Abdulkhaleq Hadi Tawwaf, Dean of Faculty of Finance and Business, the students delivered a comprehensive scientific presentation. They explored the technical and security aspects of blockchain applications in the financial payments sector, covering privacy enhancement mechanisms, potential risks, and factors influencing the adoption of this technology in modern business environments.

During the discussion, Dean of Faculty of Finance and Business, Professor Dr. Abdulkhaleq Tawwaf, stated: "Today, we had the pleasure of discussing a research study that touches on one of the most critical contemporary issues in finance and technology. The scientific content and thorough analysis presented by the students reflect advanced awareness and deep understanding of the upcoming phase. At our faculty, we believe that such projects are the seeds of real change, and we take pride in nurturing students who do not merely understand reality but strive to shape it."

The discussion committee, consisting of Dr. Jamal Al-Duais (Internal Examiner), Dr. Mohammed Al-Awlaqi (External Examiner), and Dr. Hussein Ahmed (Research Supervisor), praised the quality and excellence of the research, considering it a knowledge breakthrough worthy of recognition, opening new horizons for scientific exploration in digital transformation and cybersecurity.
