In a milestone step reflecting institutional ambition and a forward-looking vision toward academic excellence and educational leadership, Development and Quality Assurance Center at Ar-Rasheed Smart University hosted today, Saturday, May 16, 2026, the final workshop to review and approve the university's 2nd Strategic Plan (2026–2030). The high-level session took place in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, alongside members of the Strategic Planning Committee.
Opening the workshop, Prof. Dr. Abdulhameed Ashuja', Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center, welcomed the attendees and highly commended the extensive efforts dedicated throughout the drafting phases. These stages involved a series of specialized workshops and meetings focused on evaluating and analyzing the university's internal and external environments, debating the strategic environmental analysis matrix, and reviewing and approving the strategic choices and priorities matrix.
The Dean explained that this final workshop was dedicated to presenting and evaluating the final draft of the Strategic Plan. The comprehensive framework encompasses future visions, core directions, and development projects through which the university seeks to elevate academic and administrative performance while advancing the caliber of its educational, research, and community services.
For his part, the University President, Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, expressed his pride in the milestone achievement of finalizing the second strategic plan, affirming that the university is advancing with confident strides toward building a modern academic model. This model actively responds to development and job market dynamics while reinforcing the university's standing in the higher education sector both locally and regionally.
"This strategic plan serves as a roadmap for the university's future over the next five years," the President added during the workshop. "It reflects our enduring commitment to institutional development and fulfilling academic quality and accreditation standards, ultimately ensuring the graduation of competitive individuals capable of driving effective contributions to community service and national development."
The workshop featured a thorough presentation of the plan's vision, mission, values, goals, and strategic orientations. The specialized committee reviewed the submitted feedback and officially approved the final draft of the plan, paving the way for its official endorsement and the immediate launch of its programs and initiatives in the upcoming phase.
