In a step embodying its commitment to shaping a competitive generation capable of building the future, Ar-Rasheed Smart University, in partnership with the Injaz Yemen platform, honored its distinguished student interns participating in the platform’s programs on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Held under the sponsorship of the University President, Prof. Dr. Abdullatif Haidar, the event reflected the university's dedication to investing in human potential as a priority alongside academic certification.
The ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Abdulhameed AShuja'a; the Dean of Faculty of Finance and Business, Prof. Abdulkhaliq Tawaf; the Dean of Student Affairs, Assoc. Ahmed Al-Rubai; and the Director of Student Activities and Services, Mr. Ibrahim Azzan. Also in attendance was the Executive Director of Injaz Yemen, Mr. Majed Al-Shamiri, alongside several academic leaders and participating students.
During the event, the rector emphasized that the university views qualitative training as a natural extension of university education. He noted that academic knowledge alone is no longer sufficient; it must be supported by renewable practical skills that keep pace with rapid shifts in the labor market, particularly in modern fields such as cybersecurity, finance, and business.
The Rector stressed that the true challenge facing graduates today is "Lifelong Learning." He highlighted that information in technical disciplines evolves at a tremendous speed, and relying solely on what a student learns within university walls may not be enough to sustain a career in a highly competitive market.
He added that while educational institutions are characterized by stability, corporations change at a much faster pace driven by development and profitability requirements. This makes it essential for students and graduates to continuously update their knowledge and skills to avoid being outdated by market demands.
Concluding his speech, Prof. Abdullatif Haidar congratulated the students participating in the "Injaz" programs, affirming that the training certificates they received represent a significant step toward the future. He called on everyone to adopt self-development as a permanent approach to ensure success and continuity in their professional lives.
For his part, Mr. Majed Al-Shamiri praised the effective partnership with Ar-Rasheed Smart University, commending the leadership's interest in the professional qualification of students. He emphasized that the training programs provided by the Injaz platform grant young people real tools to help them build a more prominent and influential future in an increasingly competitive work environment.
The ceremony included honoring the executive team of Injaz Yemen in appreciation of their efforts in implementing the training programs, as well as distributing certificates to the outstanding students. The event concluded with a group photo embodying the spirit of partnership between the university and its students in their journey toward success.
