Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, the rector of Ar-Rasheed Smart University, the Student Affairs Deanship, in collaboration with the university's health unit, organized an awareness seminar today, Sunday, January 26, 2025, titled: "Cold Diseases and How to Prevent Them." The seminar targeted university students and staff as part of the university's efforts to enhance the health and safety of the university community.
During the opening of the seminar, attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, the university's Secretary-General, the health unit officer, and several staff members and students, Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar emphasized that the university is committed to providing initiatives and programs that focus on the health and safety of students and staff. He highlighted the importance of promoting health awareness as an essential part of providing a safe and healthy educational environment. He also commended the efforts of the Student Affairs Deanship and the health unit in organizing such events that contribute to raising health awareness.
The seminar was presented by Dr. Ibrahim Shaddad, who focused on spreading health awareness about seasonal cold diseases and ways to prevent them. The seminar covered several important topics such as angina, seasonal influenza, kidney colic, respiratory crises (asthma), thrombosis, hypoglycemia, and loss of consciousness, along with providing effective preventive tips.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the rector of the university honored Dr. Ibrahim Shaddad in recognition of his valuable efforts and active contribution to the success of the event, emphasizing the need for all members of the university community to adhere to preventive measures to ensure the health and safety of everyone.
The seminar was well-received by the attendees, who praised the university's role in organizing purposeful initiatives that contribute to enhancing public health and building an informed university community.
