Faculty of Business and Finance at Ar-Rasheed Smart University, in collaboration with Injaz Yemen and the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF), organized a project management training workshop for third-year students of the International Business Administration Department (E), Group One, on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
The workshop, conducted by Mr. Majed Al-Shumairi, Executive Director of Injaz Yemen, and Ms. Maha Ghoneim, Project Management Programs Officer at the foundation, aimed to enhance students' understanding of the fundamental concepts and practical tools for successful project management, focusing on the following stages:
• Preparing an effective project plan.
• Time and resource management strategies.
• Techniques for monitoring project progress.
• Handling risks and challenges.
• Project closure and documenting lessons learned.
During the opening of the workshop, the rector of the university, Prof. Dr. Abdullatif Haidar, emphasized that organizing this workshop reflects the university's commitment to equipping students with practical skills that complement the academic aspect. "We are here to prepare you to be leaders in your fields, capable of turning ideas into tangible achievements," he said, urging all students to seize this opportunity with passion and determination. "Remember, project management is not just a skill but a way of life that ensures your success in every step you take."
The Dean of faculty of Business and Finance, Prof. Dr. Saif Salam Al-Hakimi, stated that international business administration students are the future leaders who will make a difference in the changing business world. Therefore, preparing them with the best tools and experiences is a crucial step towards enabling them to achieve their ambitions and contribute to building a bright future. He noted that this workshop is the beginning of their journey towards excellence and leadership in a global market awaiting their mark.
The Dean of the faculty expressed his sincere thanks to Injaz Yemen and the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF) for their efforts and cooperation in conducting the training workshop. He also thanked Dr. Salah Sanad, the project management course instructor, for coordinating the workshop, wishing everyone continued success and excellence
The workshop concluded with a thank-you speech from Dr. Salah Sanad, who expressed his appreciation to Injaz Yemen, the participating team, and the attendees.
Dr. Moeen Al-Mutawakel also delivered a closing speech, emphasizing the importance of linking theoretical aspects with practical application in project management
