Mechatronics students – third and fourth-year levels – from Ar-Rasheed Smart University conducted a field visit to Amran Cement Factory on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. The visit aimed to explore the world of advanced industries and gain insight into various production departments and modern technologies applied in different fields.

Supervised by the Head of Mechatronics Engineering Department, Dr. Adel Rawa’a, and accompanied by the Academic Supervisor, Engineer Mohammed Al-Madhwahi, the students toured the factory's various sections. They began with the Power and Control Department, including energy systems and transformers, then moved to the Mechanical Section, featuring crushers, mixers, and the rotary kiln. They proceeded to the Maintenance and Supervisory Control Department, which operates using the SCADA system, and concluded their tour by exploring other sections of the factory, culminating in the packaging and final product department.

Dr. Adel Rawa’a, Head of the Mechatronics Department, extended his sincere gratitude to the factory management for their warm reception and excellent organization. He expressed his appreciation for their cooperation in providing students with the opportunity to explore the factory’s divisions and gain practical experience in a live industrial environment.

This field visit offered the students a valuable opportunity to acquire advanced practical knowledge, enhancing their skills and enriching their academic studies in the field of mechatronics.
