On the morning of Saturday, June 28, 2025, Faculty of Engineering and Technology Council held its first regular meeting on campus, chaired by Associate Professor. Abdulmalik Moamen, Dean of the Faculty. The meeting focused on evaluating the faculty’s preparedness for the launch of academic activities across its various departments.

In an atmosphere filled with ambition and anticipation for an exceptional academic year, the Council of Deans and Heads of Department at Ar-Rasheed Smart University held its first meeting on the morning of Saturday, June 28, 2025 in the university’s meeting hall. The meeting was chaired by Professor Abdullatif Haidar, rector of the University, and attended by deans of faculties, heads of department, and head of the Central Control Office. During its inaugural session, the council reviewed issues related to academic discipline on the first day of classes and emphasized the importance of academic optimization to enhance the quality of education and improve the university’s outcomes.

In a long-awaited moment, where pride intertwined with gratitude and the past merged with a realized dream, Ar-Rasheed Smart University stood at the threshold of a new historic milestone, announcing the birth of a generation of women empowered with knowledge and determination. On the morning of Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the university celebrated the graduation of its first cohort of female students—“The Elite of Ar-Rasheed”—in a joyful academic ceremony held at Al-Qasr Hall in the capital, Sana’a. The event was attended by a large official and academic audience, including the University’s Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors of Deep Learning Company, deans of colleges, department heads, the university’s secretary-general, and a large gathering of graduates’ families and university friends.

“From here we began… and to greatness we soared” — with this phrase that embodied a dream turned into reality, Ar-Rasheed Smart University celebrated the graduation of its first cohort of students — the “Elite of Ar-Rasheed” — on the morning of Monday, June 23, 2025, in a grand ceremony held at Al-Qasr Hall in the capital, Sana’a. The event was attended by a number of academic and administrative figures, led by the University’s Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors of the owning company (Deep Learning for Higher Education and Medical Services), university leadership including deans and heads of department, as well as the graduates’ families, in an atmosphere filled with pride and joy.

As part of its ambitious academic mission and ongoing commitment to graduating accounting professionals equipped with analytical and critical thinking skills, Faculty of Finance and Business – Accounting Department (Arabic program) at Ar-Rasheed Smart University discussed, on Sunday, June 1, 2025, a distinguished graduation research titled: "Organizational Independence of Internal Auditing and Its Impact on Operational Efficiency," as part of the requirements for obtaining a bachelor’s degree for the academic year 1446 (2024–2025).

In a step that reflects institutional transparency and Ar-Rasheed Smart University's commitment to continuous improvement and development, the university presented its annual performance report for the 2023–2024 academic year on Sunday, June 1, 2025 before the Annual Performance Report Review Committee at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research. This presentation was part of the ministry's program to assess the academic and administrative performance of public and private universities and community colleges..

In an academic setting that reflects both scientific maturity and the integration of theory and practice, Faculty of Finance and Business – Accounting Department (Arabic program) at Ar-Rasheed Smart University discussed, on Sunday, June 1, 2025, a graduation research titled: "The Impact of Internal Control on Financial Compliance within the COSO Framework – A Case Study on Yemen Mobile." The research was presented by students: Talal Nabil Al-Harouji, Osama Yahya Sawar, Rabie Mohammed Al-Asri, Younis Ali Al-Rubaidi, and Osama Abdu Al-Sanabani, fulfilling the requirements for obtaining a bachelor’s degree for the academic year 1446 (2024–2025).

In a remarkable display of collaboration between educational, research, and development institutions, Ar-Rasheed Smart University officially received a copy of the comprehensive encyclopedia on “The Reciprocal Effects of Yemeni Migration” on Sunday, June 1, 2025. The encyclopedia was prepared by Al-Khair Social Development Foundation under the generous patronage of Dr. Alwan Al-Shaibani, a pioneer in Yemeni tourism, may Allah bless him. The handover ceremony was attended by Dr. Amr bin Ma’ad Yakrib Al-Hamdani, a member of the Shura Council, and Mr. Al-Ezzi Al-Salwi, Advisor to the Ministry of Expatriate Affairs and a member of the declaration committee. They were warmly received by Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, rector of Ar-Rasheed Smart University.

In a significant step towards enhancing the quality of education and improving academic performance, Ar-Rasheed Smart University organized an advanced training workshop titled “Aligning Teaching and Assessment with Learning Outcomes” on Saturday, May 31, 2025. The workshop was led by Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Haidar, the rector of the university, and saw active participation from deans, heads of department, and faculty members across various academic disciplines. During the opening session, Professor Dr. Abdulhameed AShuja'a, Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center, emphasized that this workshop is part of a series of developmental programs aimed at enhancing academic performance and improving education and assessment quality. He highlighted that aligning teaching and assessment with learning outcomes is a cornerstone in program accreditation and ensuring effective learning.
