university newsIn a milestone step reflecting its unwavering commitment to academic quality standards and medical excellence, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences started the Comprehensive Exam today, Wednesday, May 20, 2026, for third-year Medicine and General Surgery students. The clinical assessment was held under the gracious auspices of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdullatif Haidar. The Comprehensive Exam serves as a pivotal academic turning point before students transition to the clinical training phase in their fourth year. It is designed to rigorously measure their mastery of the core medical knowledge and skills acquired during their foundational years. Under university regulations, students are only permitted to advance to the clinical phase after passing the exam with a minimum score of 65%.
