university newsIn the realm of hands-on experience, where theoretical knowledge meets the depth of practical reality—and in alignment with Ar-Rasheed Smart University’s vision to prepare well-rounded medical professionals equipped with solid skills and real-world expertise—fourth-year Medical Laboratory students conducted a field visit on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, to the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center, under the supervision of faculty member Dr. Mutahar Abu Hadi. This field visit offered students a direct opportunity to explore the center’s departments, beginning with reception and blood donation, followed by the Infectious Diseases Testing Unit, Blood Separation and Component Analysis, Immunohematology (Serology), and concluding with the Blood Storage and Component Preservation Unit. The visit provided students with a comprehensive understanding of how these departments contribute to strengthening the healthcare system and saving lives.
